What is RelevantPreaching.Com?
RelevantPreaching.Com is a website devoted to sharing thoughts, ideas, and practical information on how we, as Christians, can more effectively communicate the important truths of scripture to people who are struggling to live their lives in a God-glorifying direction.
The question we are asking is this: "Can we preach and teach Bible truth and be highly relevant and effective in the application of its message to those who need to hear it?" The answer is a resounding yes.
Lori, a recovering addict, agrees: "I want to invite a fellow co-worker to Sunday worship. But I know that, when she hears the preacher, she will never come back."
Another Christian has this to say: "I do not come to Wednesday night Bible study because there isn't anything being taught that helps me."
Still another: "I have no idea what he was talking about."
RelevantPreaching.Com is looking for answers. Answers that will help create relevancy in our teaching and preaching. Answers that will help us to better reveal God to men and women. Answers that will help us impact more fully the lives of people who will, in turn, impact the world in the name of Christ.

My name is David Calvin. I became a Christian at Driftwood Church of Christ in Hollywood, Fla. in 1972. I graduated from Caribbean Consolidated Schools in Puerto Rico in 1981 and then attended Lubbock Christian College. I graduated from David
My name is David Calvin. I became a Christian at Driftwood Church of Christ in Hollywood, Fla. in 1972. I graduated from Caribbean Consolidated Schools in Puerto Rico in 1981 and then attended Lubbock Christian College. I graduated from David
Lipscomb College in 1985 with a degree in History and Bible. From 1987 to 1994, I served as an associate minister at Woodbury Church of Christ in Woodbury, TN. I presently worship at Cedar Lane Church of Christ in Tullahoma, TN, where I teach classes, preach when needed, lead singing, and enjoy giving unique and hard-hitting Lord's Supper talks. I presently own and operate A-Best Locksmith in the Middle Tennessee area and have done so for 20 years.
I am available to speak to your assembly or Bible class on a wide array of topics.
